Toor Dal: 1cup
Mango: 3tbsp grated
Green Chilis: 4-5
Turmeric Powder: 1/4tsp
Red Chili Powder: 1tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves
For Tadka:
Oil: 2tsp
Mustard Seeds: 1/2tsp
Urad Dal: 1tsp
Cumin Seeds (Jeera): 1/2tsp
Dry Red Chilis: 2
Garlic: 3-4 cloves
Curry Leaves
Asafoetida (Hing): A pinch
METHOD:
1. Take a pressure cooker and add cleaned dal
2. Add water, green chilis, turmeric powder and grated mango. You can add mango pieces instead of grated mango.
3. Also, add mango according to the sourness. If the mango is sourer then reduce the quantity or if the mango is less sour, then add more.
3. Put the lid and cook it on low flame for 3 whistles.
4. Once it is cooled down, open the lid and mash dal with backside of the laddle or use a masher.
1. Take a tadka pan and heat oil.
