INGREDIENTS:
Ridge gourd / Beerakaya / Turai: 1/2kg
Onions: 2
Milk: 1cup
Mustard Seeds: 1tsp
Urad dal: 1tsp
Jeera: 1/2tsp
Green Chilis: 2
Red Chilis: 2
Curry Leaves
Chana dal: 1tsp
Turmeric Powder
Red Chili Powder
Salt
Oil - 2tbsp
METHOD:
- Heat Oil in a pan, Fry mustard seeds, urad dal, jeera, green Chilis, red Chilis, chana dal and curry leaves.
- Now, add chopped onion pieces and fry till they turn brown.
- Now, add chopped ridge gourd. Also add turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
- Put the lid and meanwhile stir it to avoid sticky.
- When ridge gourd is well cooked then, add red chili powder and mix well.
- Now, add milk and cook till thickened.
- Finally, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
