RIDGE GOURD OR BEERAKAYA FRY

INGREDIENTS:

Ridge gourd or Turai of Beerakaya: 1/2kg
Onions: 1
Green Chilis: 1(optional)
Red Chilis: 2
Curry Leaves
Mustard Seeds: 1/2tsp
Urad Dal: 1/2tsp
Salt
Turmeric Powder
Red Chili powder
Oil
Garlic

METHOD: 
  1. Heat 1-2tbsp of oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds, urad dal, red chilis, green chilis, garlic and curry leaves.
  2. Now, add onions and fry till they turn half brown.
  3. Now, add Ridge gourd pieces and add salt, turmeric powder and fry till the water is evaporated.
  4. Now, add red chili powder and fry for some more time. oil is visible when the curry is fully cooked.
  5. Finally, if you want garnish curry with coriander leaves.
