How to store Gooseberries for a year | ఉసిరికాయలు సంవత్సరం పాటు పాడవకుండా ఉంచడం ఎలా ?


Gooseberries (ఉసిరికాయలు - Amla) are rich source of Vitamin C, A, E and antioxidants. A powerful immunity booster. Good for skin and hair. So many health benefits in Gooseberries. 

But they will not be a fresh for longer time. So, how to store them up to next season and get the health benefits everyday? Here is how.... 💁



INGREDIENTS:

Gooseberries (Amla)
Pink Salt or Normal Salt
Turmeric Powder
Water

METHOD:

1. Take Gooseberries and wash them well. Pat dry with a cloth and keep aside.


2. Mark cuts on Gooseberries


3. Now, take sufficient water in a sauce pan and boil it.


4. Switch off the flame and, add gooseberries carefully.


5. Add pink salt, turmeric powder and mix well.




6. Put the lid and Soak the gooseberries in the water for 24hours.


7. After 24 hours, gooseberries are well soaked and they turned yellow.


8. Transfer these gooseberries to a glass jar along with water and refrigerate it. You can have a gooseberry everyday with your morning meals. Also, you can use these gooseberries to prepare chutneys or as an alternative to Tamarind.



9. Don't throw the left over water as this can be served as a summer drink. Take the water in a serving glass.


10. Add a tsp of Jaggery to the water, mix well. Enjoy the sweet & sour taste.
