METHOD:

1. In a cooking vessel, add chopped tomatoes. Crush and squeeze the tomatoes with hand or with crusher.

2. Mark a slit on gooseberries and add them to tomatoes.

3. Add 2-3 glasses of water. Check the tanginess and add water accordingly.

4. Now add all the remaining ingredients - Turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, pepper powder, ajwain, rasam powder, curry leaves & coriander leaves.

5. Put this on stove and boil it on medium flame for 10 - 15minutes. At this point, rasam level also decreases.

6. Once Rasam is boiled, take a tadka pan and heat 1tbsp of oil.

7. Add all tadka ingredients one after one and saute them well for a minute or two on low - medium flame. Mix well to avoid burning.

8. Pour this Tadka on rasam and serve hot with hot rice. Tastes like Tamarind rasam. Also, don't forget to eat gooseberries... :) Enjoy and get so many health benefits from this Gooseberry Rasam.
