Youtube: Kheer with Vermicelli
Vermicelli: 3/4 cup
Sugar: 3/4 Cup
Milk: 500ml
Water: 150ml
Cardamom Powder: 1/2tsp
Saffron: 5-6strands
Raisins: 10nos
Cashew Nuts: 15nos.
METHOD:
- Heat 2tbsp of Ghee in a pan and saute Cashew nuts, raisins and keep aside.
- In the same pan, saute vermicelli in ghee and keep aside.
- Take a pan and boil milk with half glass (150ml) of water.
- Now, add sugar and mix well. If you want, you can reduce or increase the quantity of sugar as per your taste.
- Now, add Vermicelli and mix well. Cook it until vermicelli is softened.
- Add, Cashew nuts, raisins, cardamom powder.
- Add, Safron and mix well.
- Add one tbsp of Ghee to the kheer and put the lid. Cook it on medium flame for 5-10 minutes or until the kheer gets desired thickness.
- Garnish with Saffron strands and serve hot or cold.
