DAL TOMATO



INGREDIENTS:
Dal: 150gms
Tomatoes: 2
Onion: 1 (Optional)
Garlic: 3cloves
Green Chilis: 2-3
Mustard Seeds: 1tsp
Urad dal: 1tsp
Jeera (Cumin Seeds): 2tsp
Curry Leaves
Coriander Leaves
Turmeric Powder
Red Chili Powder
Salt
Oil
METHOD:
1. Cook Dal, Chopped Tomatoes, Green Chilies and turmeric powder in cooker for 3-5whistles
2. Mix well boiled dal, tomato and add salt.
3. Add red chili powder and some water to get required quantity and cook it for some time until the required consistency.
4. For Tadka: Heat 2tbsp of oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds, urad dal, Jeera and red chilis, green chilis, garlic and curry leaves. 
5. Now add chopped onion pieces mix well. 
6. Add this tadka to cooked dal.
7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
