INGREDIENTS:
Sorrel leaves bunches: 4
Dal: 150gms
Onions: 1
Onions: 1
Green Chilis: 4
Red Chilis: 2
Mustard Seeds: 1tsp
Urad dal: 1tsp
Jeera: 1tsp
Garlic: 4cloves
Curry Leaves
Turmeric Powder
Red chili powder
Salt
Oil
METHOD:
- Boil sorrel leaves / gongura along with 2 green chilies, jeera and salt. and keep aside.
- Now, make sorrel leaves paste.
- Now, boil dal in pressure cooker up to 3whistles.
- Now, mix dal and sorrel leaves paste. Check sour taste while adding sorrel leaves paste to dal.
- Now, heat oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds, urad dal, red chilis, curry leaves, garlic and chopped onions.
- Now, add turmeric powder, red chili powder and mix well.
- Now, add dal mix and some water and mix well and cook for some time.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with rice.
