Murg Makai | Corn Chicken | కార్న్ చికెన్

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken: 1/2kg
Corn cobs: 2
Onions: 2 chopped
Cumin Seeds (Jeera): 1/2tsp
Cardamom (Elaichi): 4
Cloves: 4
Cinnamon: 3 (inch pieces)
Bay Leaf: 3
Milk: 1/4cup
Oil: 4-5 tbsp

For Marination:

Curd: 1/4cup
Ginger garlic paste: 2tbsp
Green Chilis: 3
Coriander Leaves: 2tbsp chopped
Garam Masala: 1tsp
Red Chili Powder: 1tsp
Coriander (Dhaniya) Powder: 2tsp
Salt: 1tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/2tsp




METHOD:

1. Clean Chicken and mix with all marination ingredients.


2. Marinate chicken for atleast 30 minutes.


3. Roast Corn cobs on flame.


4. Peel corn from cobs with hands or with knife.


5. Keep 3tbsp of corn aside for garnishing.


6. Add Corn and Milk and make a fine paste.



7. Now, take a kadai and heat oil.


8. Add, whole masala and saute them for a minute on medium flame.


9. Add chopped onions and saute them until they become translucent.


10. Add marinated chicken and mix well. Keep the lid and cook chicken on medium flame.


11. Stir and cook chicken until oil separates.
12. Add, grounded corn paste and mix well.


13. Cook chicken on low flame for 5 minutes.


14. Add 2-3cups of water to chicken and mix well.


15. Cook chicken on low flame for 15 minutes or until you get a desired consistency.
16. Add Corn and mix well.


17. Lastly add coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.




TIP: 

1. As corn paste has creamy texture, it sticks to the kadai. So, stir and make sure the gravy is not burned.
